How To Care For Your PhoneSpud

Cleaning and Maintenance

Proper care ensures your PhoneSpud remains functional and clean for long-term use:

Cleaning the Fabric Exterior:

  • Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap for small stains
  • For deeper cleaning, hand wash gently with mild detergent
  • Air dry completely before using again
  • Avoid machine washing as it may affect the pillow's shape and internal weighting

Cleaning the Clear Vinyl Screen:

  • Wipe with a microfiber cloth to remove fingerprints and smudges
  • For stubborn marks, use a small amount of mild soap and water
  • Avoid alcohol-based cleaners as they may damage the vinyl
  • Ensure the vinyl is completely dry before inserting your phone

General Fit Rule:
If your phone’s dimensions are less than or equal to 6.75 inches (172mm) in height and 4.25 inches (108mm) in width (including the case), it will fit comfortably in the PhoneSpud.

Most standard smartphones up to 6.7" display size will fit. Very large “Ultra” models with thick cases may be a tight fit.

Not Compatible:

  • Flip phones (e.g., Galaxy Z Flip, Motorola Razr, etc.)
  • Foldable phones (e.g., Galaxy Z Fold, Pixel Fold, etc.)
  • Large tablets or e-readers

Shipping & Returns

  • PhoneSpuds are shipped out of California

  • Shipping takes between 5-7 business days from the time of your order

  • You may return your PhoneSpud any time within 30 days of receiving it, for any reason

  • To request a return, send a message via the contact form on the website & we will send you a prepaid shipping label

  • We GUARANTEE you'll be happy with your PhoneSpud, but if not, return your Spud, and we will send you a FREE BAG of potato chips - because YUM!

Safe to Use with Power Bank?

It is safe to use a power bank inside your PhoneSpud.

  • A power bank is a battery; it doesn't have the same "juice" as charging from an outlet. (think direct current vs battery)

  • This is like charging from a power bank that is in your bag or purse.

  • The power bank is NOT sewn into the pillow. It's a removable 10,000 mAh battery pack.

  • In rare circumstances, a faulty component inside a power bank can cause overheating. If that's the case, it will overheat anywhere that it is, regardless of if it's in a PhoneSpud.

PhoneSpuds is versatile and can be positioned in multiple ways depending on your needs:

Bedtime/Lying Down Use:

  • Place PhoneSpud on your chest or beside you
  • Position phone horizontally for watching videos
  • The slight weighting helps maintain stability even when you shift

Desk/Table Use:

  • Stand vertically for video calls or portrait viewing

The couple has roots in the D.C. area and Colorado Springs, CO.
